• Supplemental Figure 1 - Illustration of Transposon Insertions and PCR Primer Annealing Sites in the VPE Genes. Shaded boxes indicate exonic (coding) regions of the genes. Arrows indicate primer annealing sites. Primer designations and corresponding primer sequence information are summarized in Supplemental Table 1.
• Supplemental Figure 2 - Protein Quantities in Sucrose Density Gradient Fractions. Cumulative quantity of protein contained in linear sucrose density gradient fractions 1-8 (2S), fractions 9-13 (5.5S), fractions 14-22 (9S), and fractions 23-32 (12S) of the separations shown in Figure 7 (wild-type and vpe-quad) and in Figure 8 (βvpe and βvpe/γvpe/δvpe) were plotted as a percentage of total protein detected in the respective gradient. Repetitive extractions and gradients were analyzed and the error bars show one standard deviation at each data point.
• Supplemental Figure 3 - Amino Acid Composition of Mature Seed of Wild-Type and vpe-quad Plants. Amino acid compositions were determined from mature wild-type and vpe-quad seeds of two subsequent generations (G1 and G2) and are shown as a percentage of the total amino acids (w/w). The error bars show one standard deviation of two repetitive measurements.
