Supplemental Figure 1 -
Supplemental Figure 1. Comparison of hypocotyl and root size between l28 and wild type (A) Hypocotyl width of mature embryos in µm, measured at the broadest site. (B-D) Roots of seedlings at 4 days post germination. (B) Number of epidermal cells from the initial cell to where the elongation zone starts. (C) Length of the meristematic zone (in μm) measured from the quiescent center to the start of the elongation zone. (D) Width of the root (in μm) measured at the end of the meristematic zone. At least 15 plants of each genotype were analyzed. Asterisk: statistically significantly different from wild type (Student’s t test, P < 0.01). WT, wild type.
Supplemental Figure 2 -
Supplemental Figure 2. Expression strength of the activator lines
The different activator lines were crossed to pOp:AP2 pOp:GUS and the F1 seedlings were stained for GUS activity (6h). The CLV3 activator line which when driving l28 expression leads to the strongests phenotype, had the weakest expression level. No GUS expression was detected with the WUS activator line.
