Supplemental Figure 1 -
Resolution of 77K fluorescence spectra (Ex 440nm) into the single components. 77K fluorescence spectra shown in Figure 2B were mathematically fitted and deconvoluted into the components. Shown are the fit of the original data as well as the single peak curves. Fluorescence emission maxima of photosystem I (PSI) and photosystem II (PSIICP43 and PSIICP47) are indicated.
Supplemental Figure 2 -
Resolution of 77K fluorescence spectra (Ex 570nm) into the single components. 77K fluorescence spectra shown in Figure 2C were mathematically fitted and deconvoluted into the components. Shown are the fit of the original data as well as the single peak curves. Fluorescence emission maxima of photosystem I (PSI), photosystem II (PSIICP43 and PSIICP47) and free phycobilisomes (PBS) are indicated.
Supplemental Figure 3 -
Photosystem II function is impaired in slr1471-gfp.
Pulse-amplitude modulated room temperature chlorophyll fluorescence (PAM) measurements were performed with WT-, slr1471-gfp- and slr1471-KmR-cells grown at 20 and 80μmole photons/m2s with saturating flashes of 7000 µmole photons/m2s and actinic light of 20 μmole photons/m2s.
Supplemental Figure 4 -
PSI complexes in WT and slr1471-gfp. Total membrane proteins isolated from high light (80μmole photons/m2s) grown WT and slr1471-gfp were separated by 2D-BN/SDS-PAGE, which were stained with Coomassie. Frames highlight different PSI complexes representing PSI-supercomplexes (PSI sc), trimeric (PSI(3)) and monomeric PSI (PSI(1)). Masses of molecular standards are given in kDa.
