When the cells were treated with 0.6 osmolal sorbitol, the plasma membrane extensions that remain attached to the cell wall (Hechtian threads) were clearly visible and showed localization of GFP-Hs PIPKIα with the plasma membranes. Optical sections were taken in steps of 0.5 μm. Images are displayed sequentially, 13 frames per second. Field width: 180 μm.
