The discrimination of the genotypes was based on the green seed color present only in seeds homozygous for abi3. The plants were examined individually under a binocular microscope to determine the number of leaves. The plants were grouped according to the number of leaves, and the percentage of plants in each group is given. This experiment has been repeated with similar results.
